{"id":1057,"date":"2019-08-23T15:52:13","date_gmt":"2019-08-23T15:52:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/terellb7.sg-host.com\/?p=1057"},"modified":"2020-11-19T20:30:54","modified_gmt":"2020-11-19T20:30:54","slug":"employee-spotlight-samantha-evans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/enreacheducation.com\/cn\/1057\/employee-spotlight-samantha-evans\/","title":{"rendered":"Employee Spotlight \u2013 Samantha Evans"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<p>ENREACH Education has so many great teachers and counselors on our team, and our Employee Spotlight Series is one of many ways we like to show our appreciation. \u00a0Meet Shannon McGinley!<\/p>\n<p><strong>When did you arrive in China?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>January 13, 2020<\/p>\n<p><strong>What did you do for work before you came here?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I taught English and ESOL at a high school in north Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your role with ENREACH and what city do you live in?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I teach public speaking and critical reading and writing in Shenzhen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What advice do you have for new employees and those new to China?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For new employees \u2014 really listen to what is being shared about\u00a0life and work in China and accept any help that is offered.\u00a0Everyone here is incredibly helpful and supportive. This is my second\u00a0time in China and it\u2019s a completely different experience because so many more support measures are in place. It\u2019s been quite remarkable, actually.<\/p>\n<p>For those new to China \u2014\u00a0 be flexible and have a sense of humor. There will be highs and lows. When you\u2019re done, you\u2019ll miss the highs and hopefully laugh at the lows.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your favorite food you\u2019ve discovered so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is a great noodle place by the Futian office in Shenzhen. I can\u2019t get enough!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where are you going on your next vacation?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I want to see all the places and all the things, but for my first trip, I am leaning toward Tokyo.
